Industry Spirit

FSF comprises three distinct groups :

• Trade fair organizers
• Salon organizers
• Exhibition grounds managers (some of whom are involved in more than one sector of activity)

In addition FSF has a number of associate members, including exhibition service providers in a wide range of fields : general installation, handling, etc. FSF also includes several Belgian and Swiss organizers for a total of 154 members and 39 associate members (as of September 15, 1999).

FAIRS AND SALONS OF FRANCE has two distinct missions :

1. Promote the development of a positive environment

FSF will conduct studies on the sector, the companies in it, and the economic effects resulting from the organization of events. This work will be carried out in partnership with the Audit Bureau of Statistics (OJS), which publishes annual results of attendance at fairs and salons in France.
FSF will promote “fair and salon” media among companies and opinion makers (journalists).
FSF will reinforce institutional relations with the Ministry and partner organizations on the national and international level.

2. Improve services to its members

implement sector-wide or one-time activities that involve all or individual groups
serve as a medium for exchanging ideas and experience on long-term development
develop programs and services that benefit everyone
